Dogs
and cats are carnivores – meat eaters. Raw diets try to replicate
the diet Mother Nature intended carnivores to eat: meat, bone, organs,
and some vegetation. Since they have no dietary requirement for
carbohydrates, it makes no sense to feed dry food, since dry commercial
pet foods use at least 60% grain to hold the food together. In addition,
since the body turns carbohydrates into glucose (sugar), which is
known to feed many of the health problems that plague our pets such
as cancer, diabetes and obesity, by simply feeding dry foods we
are contributing to those health problems. Being processed, dry
foods also destroy and/or alter the natural vitamins, minerals,
enzymes, amino acids and fatty acids found in the ingredients used
to make the food.
We at SNAP have found that feeding a natural raw diet to our pets has had many benefits, some of which include elimination of bad breath, cleaner teeth and ears, boosting the immune system, healthy skin and coat, relief from itchy skin, increased vitality, the ability to maintain ideal body weight, and the production of significantly smaller stools.

Even though we feed a natural raw diet to our pets, it is not something
we at SNAP try to convince other people to do - after all, that
is a personal decision each of us must make for our own pets. But
if after doing all your research and weighing the benefits and risks,
you have made the decision to feed your pet a frozen natural raw
diet, you have come to the right place. SNAP is proud to be Long
Island’s only retailer of BRAVO!, Aunt Jeni’s Home Made
4 Life® and mORIGINS®,
three of the finest raw diets available on the market today.
Whether you are looking for a complete diet, foundation foods, exotic
meats, bones, supplements or treats, SNAP has what you are looking
for.
